Cold front beckons for householders

The number of households applying for UK government assistance to insulate their homes is set to plummet by over 90 per cent this year, Labour have claimed.

Shadow energy secretary Caroline Flint said that, on current trends, only 19,142 properties will be helped in 2011-12 – more than 90 per cent down on the previous year.
