City within a city: Harry Potter’s world comes to London

Mayor of London Boris Johnson tours the world of Harry Potter on a visit to sets from the blockbuster movie series that have a new home in a giant warehouse in Watford.

The 150,000-square exhibition is expected to open in March.

It will include some of the more iconic sets from the Harry Potter franchise, including Diagon Alley, pictured, the Hogwarts Great Hall, the Ministry of Magic and 4 Privet Drive.

Mr Johnson, who explored the site with his two daughters, said: “I have been watching my children study it – they were blown away. For Harry Potter fans of all generations this will be a shrine and a place of pilgrimage.”
