Child abuse probe reopens

POLICE have reopened an investigation into claims of sexual and physical abuse at another children's home following an inquiry in Jersey.

Hampshire Police said it is making "initial inquiries" after a man came forward with separate claims concerning the Children's Cottage Home in Portsmouth.

Police Forensic teams are currently searching seven sites at the Jersey youth hostel Haut de la Garenne.
