Locals in the Inner Hebrides claim TV crews have been spotted on the islands filming the show which sees ex-special forces soldiers recreate the SAS's selection process.

It is thought this year's line up of celebrities, including reality star Price, 41, will stay in an old farmhouse on Raasay during filming.

The local claimed: "Obviously we don't want to cause a scene, but I've been told by a friend working with Channel 4 they're filming the show here.

"He'd said that he'd helped the crews go between Raasay and Skye, and said they'd be staying in a big old farm building.

"The celebrities are apparently due to arrive very soon."

Skye is home to the mountain range Cuillin, popular with mountaineers who enjoy scaling rocky heights with steep cliff edges.

And Raasay, famous as the birthplace of Gaelic poet Sorley MacLean, has a varied terrain, including high point flat-topped Dùn Caan (1,453 ft).

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins pits contestants against harsh environments in life-or-death situations.

For two weeks, they undergo a notoriously difficult training course replicating Special Air Service Selection.

Whereas Skye's population numbers around 10,000, only about 200 live on Raasay.
