Cards more popular than time with father

FAMILIES are nearly twice as likely to mark Father's Day with a card than by spending time together, according to an Archbishops' Council of the Church of England survey.

A majority of people planning to celebrate Father's Day will do so by sending a card – 63 per cent – but only 32 per cent said they would visit their family to mark the occasion.
