Prosecutor Dan Swan told JPs the pair were accused of swiping possessions from three different members of staff.

He said: “A desk office reported two people looking suspicious on the hospital grounds.

“The gentleman was carrying a blue hold-all bag and he notified the security officer.

“The security officer located them and when they saw him they instantly walked in the opposite direction towards the X-ray department.

“They were seen later that day and at this point the man was carrying a laptop bag.

“They were arrested suspicion of stealing the laptop.

“After that they went through the hold-all where they found personal items of hospital staff.”

Farrage, of Plymouth, Devon, pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary.

He was remanded in custody for a further day to allow police to make inquiries about possible further offences.

Cameron, also of Plymouth, Devon, did not enter a plea and was bailed to reappear at the city’s crown court on December 1.
