Cambridge University raises £1bn in cash bid

CAMBRIDGE University today announced it has raised more than £1 billion in a fundraising campaign.

It is the first university outside the US to raise this sum via fundraising. The money was collected for Cambridge's 800th anniversary campaign, which was launched to allow it to continue to compete as a world leader in teaching.
