Call for special unit to tackle war crimes

SCOTLAND Yard should have a specialist unit tasked with investigating war crimes, a human rights group said today.

Figures obtained by the Aegis Trust show the UK Border Agency has acted against 513 suspects since 2005, refusing residency, immigration and refugee status. But no arrests or prosecutions resulted from the 51 cases referred to police.
