Bowler Swann arrested for drink-driving

ENGLAND bowler Graeme Swann has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

Yesterday it was confirmed that the off-spinner was stopped as he returned to his home in Nottingham on Friday morning. Swann, 31, had reportedly been out celebrating his birthday before he was stopped.

Yesterday Swann said he had no comment to make about his arrest but Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club issued a statement saying: "The club can confirm that Graeme Swann was arrested in Nottingham in the early hours of Friday morning on suspicion of drink driving. We will be making no further comment."
