BMA staff to vote on action over pay

STAFF employed by the British Medical Association are to be balloted for industrial action in a dispute over pay.

The GMB union said an offer of 1.5 per cent plus an extra 0.5 per cent for high performers falls “far short” of inflation and average deals elsewhere.

GMB officers will seek authority to proceed to a formal strike ballot at a committee meeting next week.
