BBC eyes political broadcast shake–up

The party political broadcast system could be revamped following a BBC consultation launched yesterday. The BBC Trust is looking into reform of how the broadcasts are distributed throughout the year.

It is seeking views on whether the present system of pinning them to key political events, including the Queen’s Speech, party conferences and the Budget, should be scrapped.
