Agnetha Faeltskog to release new album

AGNETHA Faeltskog, former singer with Swedish pop sensation Abba, is to release her first album in nine years.

The 62-year-old, largely regarded as the most reclusive member of the band, released heartfelt ballad When You Really Love Someone yesterday ahead of her album A, which is due for release on 13 May.

The album includes a duet with Gary Barlow entitled I Should’ve Followed You Home. Faeltskog said of working with the Take That singer: “I think our voices work so well together.”

Faeltskog’s re-emergence into the public eye is likely to spark speculation about the possibility of a long-awaited Abba reunion.

For now though, it appears that Faeltskog is content to concentrate on her new record. “It was such a long time ago, and we are getting older, and we have our different lives,” she has said.

The group shot to fame after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with Waterloo. The band, which has sold more than 378 million records, split in 1982.
