Abused animals are our priority: RSPCA

THE RSPCA yesterday defended its decision to take in fewer unwanted pets to focus on caring for abused animals.

It has trialled the policy since January in a bid to make pet owners more responsible. A spokesman said: "Our priority is to look after animals rescued from cruelty and neglect."
