64,000 apply for just 800 posts

THE Co-operative Group received a staggering 64,000 inquiries for 800 apprenticeship posts.

The scheme to offer 800 places was launched last summer. The Co-op said it had been “overwhelmed” by the hard work and commitment new apprentices had shown.
