300 miles to go for rowing team

A GROUP of injured British servicemen only have 300 miles to go in their attempt to row across the Atlantic.

The six-man team, of whom four lost limbs in Iraq or Afghanistan, have suffered several setbacks in their efforts – first nearly running out of water and then a broken rudder, which has now been fixed.

Rowing roughly 50 miles a day, they are expected to arrive at their destination in Barbados in about six days.

The Row2Recovery team started at La Gomera in the Canary Islands and are trying to raise £1 million for wounded soldiers by completing the 3,000-mile journey.
