Two injured in drive-by gun attack

TWO men were the targets of drive-by shooting in Glasgow in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Both men were being treated in hospital for leg injuries while Strathclyde Police launched a search for the occupants of a dark blue BMW which was believed to have been used in the shooting.

The attack took place shortly after midnight on Saturday morning, while the two men, aged 35 and 47, were standing outside a house in Priesthill Crescent in Pollok. Strathclyde Police believe the men had been deliberately targeted.

Inspector Sam Carson said: "Our investigation is at an early stage and we are still trying to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Around the time of the shooting, a dark-coloured BMW car was seen leaving the area at high speed and we are keen to trace the driver.

"I would urge anyone who was in the area to come forward to police."
