Two hurt in road smash

A 56-YEAR-OLD man and another individual have been treated in hospital after a head-on collision between two cars.

Paramedics rushed to the scene of the crash on a stretch of the A801 at Avon Gorge near Torphichen, West Lothian, after receiving an emergency call on Friday morning at 7.30am.

It is understood the crash involved two Vauxhall Astras.The man was treated for back injuries at the scene, with a second individual treated for chest pains. Both individuals were taken to Forth Valley Royal Infirmary but their injuries are not thought to be serious.
