Two in hospital after head-on crash

A 56-YEAR-OLD man and another individual have been treated in hospital after a head-on collision between two cars.

Medics rushed to the scene of the crash on a stretch of the A801 at Avon Gorge near Torphichen in West Lothian after receiving an emergency call this morning at 7.30am.

It is understood the crash involved two Vauxhall Astras.

The man was treated for back injuries at the scene, with a second individual treated for chest pains.

Both individuals were later taken to Forth Valley Royal Infirmary but their injuries are not thought to be serious.
