Two due in court after man dies in hospital

TWO people are set to appear in court on Monday in connection with the death of a 25-year old man in West Lothian.

Alan Hunter, from Livingston, died in hospital yesterday as a result of injuries sustained during an incident in Townhead Gardens at around 11:10am on Thursday.

A man and a woman, aged 32 and 21, have been arrested and are due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday morning.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers investigating this incident have had a good response from the local community so far, but we are still appealing for any witnesses to come forward, to establish exactly what happened.

"We are now asking for anyone else who may have been in the area at the time, and who may have seen something suspicious, to get in touch with us a matter of urgency."
