Two arrested over reservoir murder

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man found dead near a reservoir in Stirlingshire.

The men, aged 33 and 38, are being held over the death of Stewart Barrett.

The 34-year-old’s body was found on Sunday on a forestry track in the Carron Valley, near Fintry.

Police said at the time he had been murdered in a “violent assault”.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal, and the men are expected at Glasgow Sheriff court later today.
