TV renovation series needs a city home

THE company behind the hit BBC Two series Restoration are looking for period properties being renovated in the Capital to feature in the new series.

The series Restoration Home, being produced by Endemol UK, will follow homeowners restoring period properties into impressive residential homes. Throughout the renovation process the cameras will uncover the architectural history of the building, while researchers will look to uncover the stories and lives of people once connected to it.

Producers have said they are keen to feature a building in Edinburgh as part of the series, and a spokeswoman said: "The Old Town and New Town districts of Edinburgh were listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1995 and there are over 4500 listed buildings within the city. We would love to feature a property in Edinburgh in the series."
