A turn-off for historic sites

ICONIC buildings across the Capital have signed up to this year’s Earth Hour, which takes place on Saturday night.

The lights will be turned off at St John’s Church in Princes Street, Castle Rock and Calton Hill’s National Monument.

Lord Provost Donald Wilson said: “Climate change is an important issue which we cannot ignore, and Earth Hour is a fantastic reminder of how we need to be aware of how vital it is that we protect our environment.”
