Turf luck in grass attack

POLICE are investigating after vandals dug up an area of grass at a Midlothian primary school in a mystery attack.

Staff have been left baffled by the attack at Gorebridge Primary, which happened at some point over the weekend.

The school is currently calculating the cost of the damage.

A police spokesman said: “This has been a mindless and despicable act of destruction, which has resulted in unnecessary costs being incurred by the school to repair the turf.”
