Troops take a slice of pizza store profits

PIZZA stores across the Capital have joined forces to raise money for the country's troops.

All Domino's Pizza stores in the city will donate 1 from every Mexican Sizzler pizza sold today, tomorrow and Sunday to the armed forces to celebrate Armed Forces Day tomorrow.

The company hope the promotion will raise more than 500.

Hundreds of serving personnel, veterans and young cadets will parade from Edinburgh Castle to Princes Street Gardens tomorrow to mark Armed Forces Day, as towns and cities across the country honour those who have served their country.

Mark Smith, a former RAF serviceman and trainee manager at Domino's Pizza in Gilmerton, said: "We thought this was a fantastic opportunity to show our appreciation for all the hard work the armed forces are doing at the moment in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

"The Mexican Sizzler is one of our most popular pizzas so we're hoping to raise as much as possible."
