Police are continuing their inquiries into the collision, assisted by CCTV footage provided by bus operator Stagecoach.

Ms Harris was going to clean a house for an elderly woman she knew when the crash happened, the Daily Record reported.

A spokeswoman for Stagecoach said: “Our heartfelt thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the family of Andrea Harris who died in Monday’s road accident near Ardrossan.

“Our thoughts also remain with all those affected by the incident, including our driver and others who were taken to hospital.

“We are continuing to assist police in their investigation into the circumstances involved in the accident, including supplying them with CCTV footage of the incident.

“This footage confirms that the bus was travelling normally, on the correct side of the road, when the incident occurred.

“We understand that the police do not expect to take any action against our driver. We would urge anyone with any information about the incident to contact the police if they have not already done so.”
