Woman killed and two children injured in Fife car crash

A woman has died in a car accident that also injured three others including two young children.

The two-vehicle crash happened on the southbound carriageway of the M90 near Rosyth, Fife, at around 8pm on Saturday.

Police Scotland confirmed that the female driver of a Citroen C4 car was killed in the accident.

The female driver of the other vehicle, a Land Rover Discovery, was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where she is in a stable condition.

Of the two young children who were in the car, one was taken to hospital and discharged.

The other child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
