Window crack sees return of Glasgow easyjet flight

AN EasyJet flight Amsterdam has been forced to return to Glasgow after a crack formed in the windscreen.

Flight EZY 6853 departed from Glasgow International Airport just after 10.00am today.

A spokesman for the airline said that the flight had returned back to Glasgow after take-off.

Easyjet has not given any information about the technical fault.

The flight was scheduled to arrive at Schiphol Airport at around 12:30.

A spokesman for EasyJet said: “EasyJet can confirm that flight EZY 6853 Glasgow to Amsterdam returned to Glasgow airport this morning due to a technical fault.

“The safety and welfare of our passengers and crew is always EasyJet’s priority and we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to the customers.”

The airline said a replacement service would be brought in to accommodate passengers.
