Watt a result in car project

SCOTLAND’S largest electrical vehicle project is expanding after the first year of the scheme saw the low-carbon cars cover 18,000 miles without a single breakdown.

Five cars, based at Jewel and Esk College, Stevenson College, Midlothian Council and the Scottish Qualifications Authority, cost £630 to recharge over the year, compared with an estimated £3000 fuel bill for similar cars. Now Napier University, East Lothian Council and Telford College have joined the project.
