Two injured after three-vehicle crash on M8

Two people have been injured in a three-vehicle crash on the M8, police said.

The road has been closed at junction 15 eastbound following the incident at 8.15am.

Diversions have been put in place. The condition of the injured is not known.

Police later said that the two injured people, a man and a woman, have been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The man suffered leg and head injuries. The pair are both in serious condition.

Inquiries into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
