The veteran of a London to Edinburgh endurance trial using only its top gear is one of 60 vehicles in the fourth Concours event, which is coming to Scotland for the first time.

The show, held each year in a British royal palace, will be at the Palace of Holyroodhouse from 4-6 September.

Organisers hope to include cars from former Formula One champion Sir Jackie Stewart’s racing days, and from the Ecurie Ecosse racing team, which was founded in Edinburgh in 1951.

Ferraris, Aston Martins and Bugattis are also expected to be part of the display.

Concours of Elegance director James Brooks-Ward said: “It’s absolutely fantastic we’ll be able to celebrate Scotland’s incredible motoring heritage as part of our event, and we’re privileged to have the support of motorsport icons like Sir Jackie Stewart.”

The previous events have been held at Windsor Castle, St James’s Palace and Hampton Court Palace.
