Ryanair announces bid to woo business travellers
The move, which follows rivals EasyJet’s success in attracting people travelling on business, comes as the Irish airline seeks to become more passenger-friendly by lowering some of its unpopular add-on charges such as for baggage.
Ryanair has launched a new groups and corporate travel service, headed by Lesley Kane, its head of sales and marketing.

Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary said: “Ryanair’s entry into these markets will significantly lower their costs of travel.”
Ms Kane said: “Ryanair is continually improving our customer service and has received numerous requests from group organisers and corporate businesses to develop and launch these new exciting products.
“From early 2014, groups and business customers will be able to enjoy the added benefits of our tailored products.”
Ryanair describes itself as “Europe’s favourite low-fares airline” and plans to launch 150 new routes from UK airports this year.
