Porsche driver critical after Aberdeenshire crash

A 30-year-old Porsche driver has been critically injured in a crash.

The car was involved in a collision with a 4x4 vehicle in Aberdeenshire on Saturday evening.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the smash on the B976 Birse to Finzean road, near to the junction to Finzean Old School, at around 7.10pm.

The Porsche driver was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Hilux was not hurt.

Sergeant Rob Warnock said: “Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the silver Porsche or the Toyota Hilux prior to the incident to contact the police.’’
