Police plea for help to identify victim

POLICE are trying to identify a man killed in a collision with a car in Glasgow.

He was crossing Saracen Street on Saturday, at 10:35pm, when he was struck by a silver Vauxhall Vectra private hire vehicle.

Police are trying to establish his identity.

The man is described as 30 to 35, 5ft 2ins, and of medium build, with dark brown hair, slightly receding in a crew cut style.

He was wearing size seven white Adidas training shoes, a dark-coloured tracksuit and T-shirt, and a yellow metal bracelet.

Sergeant Stuart Bell, of Strathclyde Police road policing complex, is investigating and looking to speak to drivers and passengers of cars in the area at the time of the incident, or who saw the man before the collision. The driver of the taxi was uninjured.
