Picture: driver escapes after car crushed by crane
A DRIVER had a lucky escape after his car was crushed under the wheels of a crane near Aberdeen Airport.
Incredibly, the 52-year-old man sustained only minor injuries following the accident, but was kept in hospital overnight for observations.
Pictures released yesterday show the extent of the damage to the blue Mitsubishi Colt, which was completely destroyed in the incident.
The smash happened at a junction on Dyce Drive next to the airport shortly before 11am on Monday and caused major traffic congestion in the area.
