SERCO has confirmed the appointment of Aberdeen-born Peter Strachan as managing director of the 15-year Caledonian Sleeper franchise, as The Scotsman revealed on Saturday.
The veteran railman moves from Australia, where he headed two Serco rail bids, in preparation for the firm taking over the Scotland-London overnight train service from FirstGroup next April.
