Pensioner injured in collision dies

AN 81-year-old woman injured in a road crash at the weekend has died in hospital.

Eleanor Rosemary Philip, from Crieff, was a passenger in a car which collided with a van on the A85 Perth to Crianlarich road on Saturday.

She was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where she died last night.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision, which involved a blue Skoda Fabia car and a white Astra van.

The crash occurred opposite the junction with the unclassified road to Loanleven Farm at around 7.35pm.

A Police Scotland statement said: “Inquiries into the collision are ongoing. Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen either vehicle prior to or at the time of the collision to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
