Pedestrian killed on motorway near Livingston named

A PEDESTRIAN who was killed on a motorway has been named by police.

Nicky Edwards, 37, was struck by a Citroen Xsara near junction three of the M8 near Livingston at around 8.30pm on Friday.

He died at the scene of the crash and police are appealing for any witnesses.

Sergeant Scott Sneddon said: “Enquiries are still ongoing and our sincere condolences go out to Nicky’s family and friends.

“We’re appealing for anyone who saw the incident, or who may have seen a man in the vicinity of the Deans overbridge on the M8 shortly beforehand, to get in touch as soon as possible.”
