One dead, three hurt in rural Aberdeenshire crash

A WOMAN has died and three other people have been injured following a three-vehicle crash on a rural road in Aberdeenshire.

The accident, which happened shortly after 1.30pm, has completely closed the B977 Dyce to Fintray road.

Firefighters had to use cutting gear to free some of the passengers trapped in the vehicles.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland can confirm that one woman has died following the three-vehicle road traffic collision. The road is currently blocked and is likely to remain closed for some time. Local diversions are in place.”
