

Ambulance crews found one person dead at the scene of the crash on the A87 west of Invergarry, between Fort Augustus and Fort William in the Highlands, last night.
Paramedics had to airlift a second person to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with a head injury, while two other people were taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William with minor injuries.

Hide AdFire crews dispatched appliances from around the Highlands to assist with the incident.
A Fire Scotland spokesman said: “We were involved in a single vehicle road traffic collision. There was one fatality and three other casualties.
“We got the call at 17.37 and dispatched crews from Fort Augustus, Fort William, Inverness and Spean Bridge.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We took two patients with minor injuries to Belford Hospital, took one patient by HeliMed with head injuries to Raigmore Hospital and there was another person deceased on the scene.”
The road has been closed whilst investigations are carried out and local diversions are in place.
