North Bridge in Edinburgh closed this weekend

Buses will be diverted during work on the crossing

The bridge, which connects the Old and New Town, will be shut to traffic from 8pm tonight until 6am on Monday.

Lothian, the city’s main bus operator will re-route its services 3,5, 7, 8, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37 and 49.

Services 3 29 30 31 33 37 will be diverted from Nicolson Street via Chambers Street, George IV Bridge, The Mound, Hanover Street, George Street and South St David Street in both directions.

Northbound services 5 7 8 14 49 will be diverted from Nicolson Street via Chambers Street, George IV Bridge, The Mound, Hanover Street, George Street, South St Davids Street and Princes Street.

Southbound services will be re-routed from Picardy Place via Princes Street, South St Davids Street, George Street, Hanover Street, The Mound, George IV Bridge and Chambers Street.
