Rail passengers in the Kilmarnock faced delays after the 5.22am, 6.20am, 6.52am, 7.20am and 7.55am trains to Glasgow Central were all cancelled.

According to Scotrail, overrunning engineering works were responsible for the delays with trains being unable to operate between Kilmarnock and Glasgow until at least 8am. Scotrail also warned that delays could be faced throughout the day with replacement bus services put in place.
