Man struck by vehicle near Aviemore

A male pedestrian has suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle north of Aviemore in the early hours of New Year.

The accident happened at about 4.30am today on the A95 north of Aviemore.

The pedestrian was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.

The road is currently closed for police to carry out their collision investigation.

A Police Scotland spokesman has asked for anyone with information about the accident to contact them on 101.
