Man dies in Aberdeenshire crash

A 42-year-old man has died in a crash involving two cars on the A90.

The man was driving a silver Mercedes SLK which collided with a blue Peugeot 307 near Lonmay, Aberdeenshire, at 6.10pm.

Police units, ambulance crews and two fire crews from Fraserburgh were scrambled to the scene.

One man was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, a spokeswoman for the ambulance service said.

The 51-year-old man who was driving the Peugeot is understood not to have serious injuries.
