Man and woman killed in crash near Castle Douglas
A man and a woman have been killed in a road crash near Castle Dougls in Dumfries and Galloway.
The collision, involving a lorry and motorbike, occurred on the A713 Castle Douglas to Ayr road just before 8pm on Friday night.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm that the motor cyclist and his pillion passenger have died after the accident which involved the motor cycle and a lorry. We are continuing our investigating into the crash and the road which was closed, was re-opened in the early hours of the morning. We have not released details of the victims until the families have been notified.”
