M8 pothole causes trouble for commuters
A LARGE pothole caused major disruption on the M8 in central Scotland yesterday, puncturing the tyres of at least four vehicles.
Traffic Scotland said the police closed one lane of the eastbound carriageway near J5, Harthill Services.Road contractor Amey repaired the pothole before 9am and the lane was reopened.
Traffic moved slowly during the rush hour as congestion cleared.
