Firefighters tackle blaze at Borders farm

MORE than 50 firefighters have worked through the night to stop a blaze destroying a farm.

Two crews were initially called to the fire at Caldra farm near Duns in the Borders at around 8.30pm last night.

When they arrived at the scene a diesel fuel tank was well alight and spreading to a joining building, the fire service said.

Four more crews were sent to the farm to fight the flames and at the height of the fire around 50 officers were involved.

The blaze was brought under control and officers are now working to establish the cause of the fire.

No one was injured, the fire service said.
