Eurostar sale: how to get £29 tickets to Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Rotterdam - and when the deal ends

Eurostar have slashed prices on some of Europe’s top tourist cities, offering fares to Paris for under £30.

Whether you’re afraid of flying or simply prefer the leisurely pace of a train, Eurostar’s new prices make it a highly appealing option for the coming summer.

With a selection of desirable destinations and the option of a luxury upgrade, this deal might just change a few people’s holiday plans.

What is the deal?

The deal allows you to travel to four top holiday destinations for as little as £29.

The options are as follows:

- London to Paris for £29 each way

- London to Brussels for £29 each way

- London to Amsterdam for £35 one way

- London to Rotterdam for £35 one way

You’ll have to book a return to get the discount on Paris or Brussels tickets, but not for journeys to Rotterdam or Amsterdam.

The tickets can be booked for a host of dates between 23 March and 17 June 2020, except for the Amsterdam and Rotterdam options which can only be booked from 18 May 2020.

The deal includes seats on the brand-new direct service to Amsterdam which will launch in April.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for a more luxurious rail experience, Eurostar are also offering Standard Premier fares to Paris and Brussels for £70 – letting you relax in a carriage with extra leg room, complimentary magazines and a selection of food and drink delivered to your seat.

Or, if you’re excited by the prospect of Belgium but want to be a bit more adventurous, you can grab an “Any Belgian Station” ticket for £39 – covering travel to Brussels and then on to Bruges, Ghent or Antwerp.

Will the coronavirus affect Eurostar?

So far, Eurostar has not been impacted by coronavirus and have been able to operate as normal, with no delays or cancellations due to the illness.

Additionally, none of the destinations involved in the deal have been badly hit and no travel restrictions have been put in place as of yet.

However, it is entirely possible that this will change if the virus continues to spread. Eurostar has a special page dedicated to monitoring the virus, making it easy to keep up to speed with the latest travel advice.

They have also confirmed that anyone who is forced to miss a journey because they have been placed into quarantine will be able to exchange their ticket for a future date by contacting Eurostar directly.

How long will the deal be on offer?

The sale ends on Wednesday 11 March.

However, those looking to take advantage of it would be advised to get booked up as quickly as possible – there are limited seats available, so you could miss out if you leave it too close to the deadline.
