Driver in hospital after High Street lorry crash

A DRIVER was taken to hospital last night after their Mercedes van collided with a bin lorry in the city centre.

The crash occurred on High Street at around 9:20pm, with two ambulances rushing to the scene.

The van driver was taken to the Royal Infirmary complaining of neck pain.

Eye-witnesses said that as many as five police cars also attended the incident and that the road was closed temporarily.
