Death crash driver failed to react

A DRIVER accused of killing a pedestrian showed no emotion when he was told about the death, a court was told yesterday.

At the High Court in Glasgow Sergeant David Stenhouse said that he visited accused Arthur MacVean in the Western Infirmary, where he was being treated for minor injuries. Sgt Stenhouse said he was concerned McVean had mental health issues, because, “I told him a man had died and there was literally no reaction”.

MacVean, denies causing the death of David Young by driving.

The trial continues.
