Concern grows for missing journalist Clive Dennier

POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the safety and wellbeing of missing Highland journalist Clive Dennier.

Clive, 50, was reported missing by his employers at the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald yesterday morning when he failed to turn up for work.

His disappearance has been described as out of character by concerned friends.

There have no sightings of his vehicle.

He drives a silver Volkswagen Polo, registration number SX54 CXD, and the vehicle is particularly distinctive as it is missing its hub caps.

A Northern Constabulary spokesman said: “We are continuing inquiries into his disappearance and have spoken to friends and colleagues in relation to places Clive may have gone, given he is a keen and experienced walker.

“Searches have been carried out at car parks in areas he has been known to walk in previously, but at this time there have been no sightings of the vehicle.

“Anyone who has seen Clive or his vehicle are urged to contact Police on 101.”

Mr Dennier, from Inverness, was previously chief reporter of the Press and Journal in the Highland capital.

He also worked as a freelance journalist, for NHS Highland and with local MSPs David Stewart and Rhoda Grant.
